Where did you get the date?
I don't have much time until 2012:
2009-2010 (Summer) I have to complete my education, will get diploma in sea transport management.
2010 (July 11) - I'm getting married to my girlfriend Hristy Streltsova.
2010-2011 (Oct-Nov-Dec-Jan-Feb-March) We are going to live in India, I will write a novel and record my video lectures on sea transport and Hristy will learn local handicraft.
2011 (Summer) We are going to have our first kid.
2012 (01 February - 01 June) My Africa trip.
2012 (09 June - 01 July) Euro 2012 Football Championship will be held in Ukraine and Poland.
2012 (21 December) The end of the world according to Maya predictions.
Who inspired you?
I was inspired by my friend Alexander Lyubenko,who did an attempt to cross Africa in 2006 and gave me his blessing to make my try.
Who are the participants?
At the moment I am looking for a team. I want it to be 2 to 4 participants. I travelled alone before and found it hard, it is not suitable for such a challenge as crossing Africa, more then four makes a group slow and prone to break into smaller groups. I am looking both for experienced bike travellers and for Africa experts.
What is your route?
I am looking for your advice regarding the route. At the moment I know I would go from North to South and Iam analizing African states on their suitability for my trip.
Why do you do this?
I need something to tell my grandchildren when I am old, so that they don't get bored.
Your previous experience?
During the last five years I had some trips to Carpathian and Crymea mountains and some trips in other regions of Ukraine. I completed Spanish St. Jacobs Pilgrim Route from Saint Jean Pied de Port to Santiago de Compostela in April-May 2007.
Non biking tourism included India trip in February 2009 New Delhi-Agra-Varanasi-Khajuraho-Goa.
